| The St. Batman Crucifixion was a performance art piece which took place at the Dale Djerassi's ranch near Djerassi Foundation in Woodside, California back in July, 1994. Actors included Valentin Popov as Batman, and Dale Djerassi and Alex Gatti as the crucifiers. Photographer David Perry was on location to document the event. The result is a limited edition of 16 boxed sets of 17 gelatin silver prints each, size 13.5" x 17". All prints have deckled edges and are mounted on archival cardboard. Each set of 17 photographs resides in a handmade leather box. Also included in the box is a book printed on handmade paper detailing the St. Batman Crucifixion, assorted poems, postcards and memorabilia from the project. |
